Angelica
Angelica Panganiban was born in the Philippines. She is a Filipino American actress and comedian as well as host on television and model. Panganiban (also known as The New Queen Of Drama) is believed by different media to be one of Philippines most experienced, versatile and well-versed actresses. She was diagnosed with double pneumonia due to an aggressive S. pneumoniae bacteria infection. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston put Angelica Hale on ECMO support for lifesaving treatment. Her condition was a result of numerous organ problems, including the failure of her kidneys. The new standard was hemodialyses as well as peritoneal dialysis. She finally returned home after 80 days of hospitalization, after a time when she was close to death, and began the lengthy road to healthy. The way she lived her life was forever changed. After one year and a half of dialysis, Angelica was ready for the biggest surgery of her life-her kidney transplant. The donor kidney would come from her mom. Angelica, along with her mom underwent an organ transplant successfully on September 13th 2013 in two incredible hospitals close to one another - Emory University Hospital & Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale's dream to be an international star has not waned.
